Thoracic Spine Self-Loosening
How stiff is your spine? In this video, Thoracic Spine Self-Loosening, I take my sister Lizzie, an elite triathlete, through how to do a "Selfie" on her Thoracic Spine which gets stiff due to all the time she spends training on her bike.
Please remember to go gently to start, especially if you have hyper-mobility in your spine (is it very bendy and lacking in kyphosis?). If so, it would be safer to practice what I show you in next week’s video on Thoracic Spine Loosening when you are working on your client rather than doing a Selfie. Being tight is very common, but don't forget that not everyone has an excessive or stiff Thoracic spine.

Anterior Tilt in Sitting and Deadlift
Retraining Lumbar Lordosis control for sitting and bending movementsIn this video, I show you how to help your client begin to retrain certain stability muscles in their low back (Multifidis) in order to stop flexing in their Lumbar spine as much (losing their lordosis) during sitting and bending movements. Doing this simple exercise helps the body and mind to pinpoint which muscles it needs to “hold” when it is sitting or lifting. This is crucial for dealing with an achey low back.
